Honey’s glycemic index (Gl) is around 55 and it is categorized with other consumables with low glycemic index Gl. This leads to low glucose’s raise at our blood compares to consumables with high glycemic index Gl.
When we eat honey our body identifies it as ‘organic product’ and absorbs as much glucose as it needs unlike sugar. The amount of the absorbed glucose in that case is uncontrolled. Honey can act like a medicine even for someone that has diabetes. The arbutus honey is considered ideal because it has the lowest sugar content. Along with arbutus honey there is also acacia’s honey which has also low sucrose percentage.
